Born in 1996 in snowy Akita, northern Japan, Kotaro became interested in photography at a young age. It was a later series of intense and inspirational experiences and encounters during stay in Melbourne and London that convinced him to launch a career in photography. Returning to Japan, Kotaro found work at a studio in Shibuya, Tokyo, where he spent two years in technical and professional development. This period saw a flourishing of Kotaro’s personal portfolio as his style, technical ability, and industry connections grew. Kotaro relocated to Paris in the autumn of 2023, where he now works as a photographer specializing in fashion and portraiture.

1996年、秋田県に生まれ、幼い頃から写真に興味を持つ。メルボルンとロンドンに滞在し、刺激的な体験や出会いを重ねたことで、写真の道に進むことを決意する。帰国後、東京・渋谷のスタジオに就職し、２年間、技術的・専門的な技術を積む。この時期、彼のスタイル、技術力、業界とのつながりが深まり2023年秋にパリに移住し、現在はファッション、ポートレート、アートを専門とするフォトグラファーとして活動している。
